It shook my spine when I first heard it, and when I concentrated on the lyrics, it was even more shocking. Beautiful song, together with this poetry that makes it so special. I believe it's about a couple parting. Maybe she died, maybe she just went away, but he feels he still needs her. I can relate to the feeling 100% and I'm not happy about it :-( "If I display just a fraction of the soul you showed in this world then I know I'll see you again" My feelings turned into words by someone I don't know, thanks! |

He's just fed up with this whole world. He became crazy after a whole life of chasing dreams and he has decided to end up all the shit around him. He decides to suicide, a handshake of carbon monoxide. Anyway, I have doubt about this no alarms and no surprises line; I believe he tried to rob a bank and told the workers there not to do stupid things, but he's completely off his mind, he lost himself, he dreams of a pretty house, a pretty garden, all these things he wanted but he can't have, maybe if he robs the bank... sounds like an interesting story to me, thumbs up radiohead, great music, great lyrics and great thoughts! |
