You look a lot like you Shatter in the blink of an eye But you keep sailing right on through. i know im probably being repetitive but these lines of the song seem like what its all about. she's so sick and tired of everything and has all these suicidal thoughts. she seems like she could break any second and go ahead and cut/kill herself but she just somehow gets through everyday without hurting herself physically. the ending could also sound like a happy one "she's fast asleep next to me" but its probably the saddest thing. i mean she's just getting by, her whole existence is quite miserable, but she's still just living. i thought it was Actually suicide too but then this one time when he sings that line, he uses the word 'but' before 'fall asleep next to me' so it sounds like you've been waiting to or thinking about committing suicide BUT at the end of the day you're safe. im not sure though, i was a little confused |

| i love that bit too, but i like the acoustic version better. somehow for me the softer tune fits better with the lyrics. thats just my opinion though. | |

But your memory is here and I'd like it to stay Warm light on a winter day The way he fades off near the end, it's just so....something. i agree. theres something really amazing about the way he sings these lines. the way his voice goes all soft in the bit where he says 'and id like it to stay' makes it sound so genuine |

| i dont see this song at all form the god point of view.. for me its just like he says it... hes been with other girls, but everytime he didnt find it quite right, and hes finally realised that the girl who wanted to be with him earlier is the one he really needs. but its probably takn him some time to figure that out and now hes hoping that she still feels the same way, that she hasnt 'given up on him' and hes just wants to get away from all the things that dont really matter anymore and be with her and so the line 'take me away' | |
