It's about being in love with someone she knows deep inside is a player, but making herself deny it anyway. The moments where he says something sweet are precious to her, and she wants him to say them more, and for longer. She hopes one day he might say them enough and convince himself to fully commit his heart to her, and only her. The longer the relationship lasts, the harder and more bitter it would be to end, so it's easier to not let go, even though he's not a good man for her. The "things to fix" list part of it also seems to imply that she's just putting off confronting the problems of the relationship. |

"Heaven is a place that you, tell me all the things you want to do." Heaven is life with a man that is 100% open about his ambitions, what he wants to do, everything. If he shares everything he wants to do, then he should be honest in the relationship. ...
"I heard that you like the bad girls. Honey, is that true?" I heard you like to sleep around with promiscuous girls, that will sleep with men even if those men known to be in relationships.
And of after he assures her that he's faithful only to her, she says "it's better
than I even knew."
"They say that the world was built for two
Only worth living if somebody is loving you
Baby now you do." Love with a steady companion is the most important thing in life. She's putting a lot of stake in devoting all of her love and precious time to this one man that she's not entirely sure loves her back. A lot of this song is about convincing herself the guy loves her, and being unsure if he sincerely returns the sentiment.
If he isn't truly in love with her, and maybe just attached for reasons he's afraid to confront, he can ignore her and prolong the issue by playing video games, and she will laugh it off and go along with the relationship. It's a relationship at a critical time in her life that's almost driven by complex of trying to figure out if this guy really likes he back.
This song has similar themes to "Dark Paradise" Being attached to a relationship that's pretty much doomed to heartbreak and being in denial. |

Hey man. Those are two amazing songs, it was a hard choice, especially for the cohesiveness of an album. Everything happens for a reason. Polyethylene ended up being the hidden gem for the die hard fans. |

I feel like I'm at the tail end of childhood, and I agree with interpretation the most. This song kinda chokes me up, makes me think of the changing world around me, feels like we're going in the wrong direction. Arcade Fire is incredible for capturing this sentiment in a song, but I can't listen to this too much. Too powerful. |

Perfect theme song for a cocky f**ker that habitually disrespects the people that paved the way for him to be getting paid. CM Punk thinks he's changing the game or something. One day he's gonna have a bad leg, a legends contract, and his face on a 7/11 slurpee cup. |

A sequel to the Beanie/Jay-Z song "Where have You Been?" from Jay-Z's "The Dynasty" album. Talking bout how their fathers did them wrong, but they still got love for their flesh and blood regardless. |

To me this song is about getting back with my girlfriend that's a few years younger than me. We used to be close friends and I treated her like a little sister. Then we started dating. We saw each other too much, and spent too much time together. Then we broke up, saw other people. Realized that everyone else is this world is shitty. And realized that we were right for each other, and that we wanted each other badly. All the lyrics apply to that scenario in my life. |

the only thing that brought up a question mark in my head was "to me to save the world I don't understand, how did I become a leader of a billion men?" How does that audacious claim have anything else to do with the rest of the song? |
