A good version of this song is from the cd "From the Cutting Room Floor". Really soothing and Jason keeps changing the direction of the song so you never get bored. To me this song is just about life, and not being too caught up in it, not to be disappointed if something doesn't come to you at the right time. And of course, like many other Jason Mraz songs, it's also about love. |

The most amazing song! He played it for my friends and I once at one of his performances! It's helped me get out of a few depressing times in my life when things weren't going so well. He's said that this song is about friends. There are so many different recordings of this, you get a different meaning every time, sometimes it's sad, like when he played it solo on the piano, sometimes it's faster, and happier. My favourite line from this song is definitely "I can light the way, and i can sell them anything!" To me this song is about, optimism. Sometimes things don't really work out the way you planned it to, but if it doesn't work out, then that's just the way it is and you shouldn't spend too long feeling miserable about it. But that's just the meaning i get out of it. and it changes everytime. hmm..wow i never knew he wrote it about his sister! That's so sweet. I love all these songs brothers write for their sisters, like Rufus Wainwright's Little Sister, particularly cos i have an older brother myself. |

This song is kind of odd in the way that you don't really hear any reference to love or romance, but it still sounds really lovely and dreamy. At the moment i feel like this song is about someone who loves someone but doesn't understand it. |
