i see a multilayered, three fold meaning here. 1-gerard's alcahol abuse is at the core of this song, and the entire first verse and chorus heaviuly supports that imo. thats actually what the song is about, imo. Gerards own "sickness", with minor refferences to it's prominance within the band dynamic. he talks abut being in love with vampires, the very things that would such the life from him. thats a raor sharp double edged sword. the second layer of meaning though... thats the patient, and his own sickness that rules his life. "shot", well, give me some drugs to numb the pain. it also serves as a nice refference in the context of "how i disapear"--he is losing the woman he loves during all of this. so, blow me a kiss before she leaves-"let me get fucked up before she leaves, cause i cant handle it otherwise" i dunno, i cant get teh rest thuogh.. the animal/cannibal line is awesome but i cant figure that out-thats some billy corgan imagery right there, and that shit can be hard to decipher. |
