Karnivool – Mauseum Lyrics 14 years ago
Well the Moses basket line is a reference to the story of Moses' parents having to abandon him (the pharaoh ordered any male Israelite children to be killed, so they abandoned him in a basket in the river, rather than have him be killed).

Rage Against the Machine – Kick Out the Jams (MC5 cover) Lyrics 18 years ago
"People said 'oh wow, kick out the jams means break down restrictions' etc., and it made good copy, but when we wrote it we didn't have that in mind. We first used the phrase when we were the house band at a ballroom in Detroit, and we played there every week with another band from the area.

"We got in the habit, being the sort of punks we are, of screaming at them to get off the stage, to kick out the jams, meaning stop jamming. We were saying it all the time and it became a sort of esoteric phrase. Now, I think people can get what they like out of it; that's one of the good things about rock and roll.

Faith No More – The Real Thing Lyrics 18 years ago
It seems to me that it's about love, and what it can do to you. Most of the lyrics are about highs and lows, pains and ecstasies. Isn't that what love is? It's like, absolute emotion, and the ability of it to lift you or level you.

COG – Holes Lyrics 19 years ago
I remember seeing Cog in 2001 and Flynn introduced this song as being about Che Guevara.

Lyrically it definitely makes sense, and certainly fits into Cog's philosophy.
