I can honestly say I have no idea what this song is about. But it's still amazing. The line You Made Me Realise gives me chills. I want to see them live so bad. |

| MGMT – Time to Pretend Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I think this song is a criticism of the rock star lifestyle. On a side note, the music video for this is amazing. It contains reenactments of scenes from Alejandro Jodorowsky's "The Holy Mountain". (My favorite film by the way.) |

| The Avett Brothers – Colorshow Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Distraction #74, Colorshow, and Matrimony are my favorite Avett Brothers songs. Also major contenders for favorite song ever. The face that there are only 4 comments here is pretty bizarre, considering how popular they SHOULD be! |

| Arcade Fire – (Antichrist Television Blues) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I believe it's about whoring your children to society through religion, not necessarily Joe Simpson in general. There are quite a few lines that could have double meanings that nobody seems to have noticed yet. I believe that they are comparing cases like Menina Pastora with actually whoring your daughter. For example: "I wanna hold a mirror up to the world, so they can see themselves inside my little girl". "Men are going to come while you're fast asleep". "The girl's thirteen, but she don't act her age". I think it's about how parents like that are no better than parents who sell their children into prostitution. "Oh you're such a sensitive child You know you're such a sensitive child I know you're tired, but it's all right I just needed you to sing for me tonight You're going to have your day in the sun You know God loves the sensitive ones" I think these lines are about how men love virgins. |

| Queen – '39 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Scimitar, I hate you. Die right now please. How the F*ck do you think this is country? You should be shot immediately. Queen never did country. You can shove your copy of A Night at the Opera up yours, because it's not doing you any good. | |
| Queen – The Prophet's Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I think this song could be interpreted in 2 ways 1) About Noah and the Ark, from the Bible. 2) About Zoroaster(as another has mentioned. It seems to fit, but I'm not sure), with many parallels drawn to Noah That's pretty much the long and short of it. |

| Black Sabbath – Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| u2's sunday bloody sunday is new-age trash, much like bono and his gay followers. | |
| Black Sabbath – Sweet Leaf Lyrics | 19 years ago |

| Black Sabbath – Symptom of the Universe Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this song is kinda like iron maiden's Charlotte the Harlot trilogy. Kind of a satanic love song. | |
| Black Sabbath – Sabbra Cadabra Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| If you like the Metallica version better, then you have no taste, and you are a very sorry excuse for a human being. Also, has anyone noticed that "cadabra" sounds like "cadaver"? I think this song is about a necropheliac. especially when he says: never gonna do me wrong, etc. | |
| Black Sabbath – A National Acrobat Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| idiots this song has nothing to do with sperm. It's a social commentary on death, reincarnation, and abortion. | |
| Nirvana – Where Did You Sleep Last Night (Lead Belly cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| um... people this is an old folk song redone. Enough said. | |

| Nirvana – In Bloom Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song isn't about jocks or preps, but about those people you hear about on the news that have shot people, and then the media blames their favorite musicians. I can't believe noone has noticed this. "he likes to shoot his gun" makes it kinda obvious. It's about how these kinds of people have no idea what their music is about and are already insane. In a way, it's Nirvana's disclaimer against guncrimes. | |
| Nirvana – Floyd the Barber Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| You people are all shallow idiots who couldn't figure out the meaning of a song if your lives depended on it. I hate generation X. Anyway, this song is about how while society pushes innocence, this innocence has raped us of our individuality and free will. Thus, we feel trapped within our own innocence, just like the man in the barber's chair. Those who have been "raped" have lost a significant part of what makes them different. They become goody-goody and are never willing to step out of their comfort zones. This also makes Andy Griffith a perfect target. The show is all about innocence and an idealisic utopian society. It's a perfect example of one of those shows where everything turns out fine in the end and the only problems are minor. You couldn't imagine Andy Griffith with a pain fettish could you? Or how about Opie being addicted to opiates? Aunt Bea being a pedophile? While, in a way, the "hometown with a dark secret" theory is somewhat feasible, I still think that that's not exactly what Kurt was driving at. | |
