I was introduced to this song back in the 90s from a friend who knew I was into Oasis, Verve etc. Musically and lyrically it is timeless, though the 60s backdrop is quite evident. The song brilliantly highlights the fragility of man. Whereas war is only a shot away, a timely reminder that conversely, love is only a kiss away. I wish world leaders would listen to this every day. |
