I agree with delial. I believe this song is saying "I'm not so naive anymore" and basically telling someone that they won't get one over on her as easily as they think. The lyric "I can see right through you on a cloudy day" pretty much sums it up. I don't believe this song is about sex so much as innocence/being taken advantage of - and saying "uh-uh, no more of THAT for YOU!" I think it's extremely empowering, and I blast it & sing along whenever I'm in the car. |

| Wow, I see this song very differently. I think that the girl is someone he thought loved him, but she was actually cruel and devious. The song is about finally realizing what she is. It starts out "she comes to me at night, when I'm sleeping..." Then he goes on to describe the ways she comforts him, seduces him.... and tells him that his friends aren't really. ("she tells me when you look at me, she tells me when you're lying", etc.) In the end, he "wakes up", and decides he doesn't want to go back to that, that he's alone and it sucks. But he's been through it before, and even if he misses the way it was when he was naive, he isn't going back to that. | |
