This is probably the worst song ever, if your reading the lyrics. But oh my god, its way too catchy. But these are the only reasons why i like this song: 1] shes not even singing, shes talking, which i guess a lot of people like this better than london bridge.. 2] well at least she admits how conceited she is. 3] i laugh when boys say how ugly she is, while im listening to his. ahahaha, nice try fergie, nice try. |

My thoughts, only cuz i had no idea what he was talking about lol. "I'm coming out of my cage" -no idea here... "And I’ve been doing just fine Gotta gotta gotta be down Because I want it all" -probably a response to a lame "how are you?" and he replies with a sarcastic comment. Or a continuation to how hes been doing "out of his cage". But i think he feels depressed because he feels as if he has nothing... "It started out with a kiss How did it end up like this"- im thinking she kissed another man.. but hes gunna let it slide, because: "It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss" "Now I’m falling asleep And she’s calling a cab"- he fell asleep and shes leaving. Or probably means something like "i stopped paying attention for a seccond, and she leaves" "While he’s having a smoke And she’s taking a drag Now they’re going to bed And my stomach is sick" -he most likely hates this guy, and he catches them heading off to bed together, he cant believe what hes seeing... "And it’s all in my head But she’s touching his—chest Now, he takes off her dress Now, let me go"- hes hoping hes imagining this, but they're really going to bed. He doesnt want to be forced to see this. "I just can’t look its killing me And taking control"- - he doesnt want to be forced to see this at all... its "taking control" of his emotions maybe. "Jealousy, turning saints into the sea Swimming through sick lullabies"- i was confused on this. maybe the saints are who he turns to or something. And i guess he cant even count on them at the momment. and hes swimming thru their lullbies which arent helping at all. "Choking on your alibis"- which is why i think shes not a prostitute or something. Many say that the girl kissed him and it was only a kiss at the begginng. but this makes it seem like shes the one cheating.. shes done this many times before .. and hes getting sick of her poor excuses. "But it’s just the price I pay Destiny is calling me Open up my eager eyes ‘Cause I’m Mr Brightside"-- i thought he was thinking that he should open his eyes and see whats going on. Destiny is telling him they shouldnt be together.. hes probably thinking about letting her go with this other man because hes probably better for her. And he'll be okay.. he's Mr Brightside. Yea.. im still confused lol |

i really like this song for who knows why. lol its really catchy, and yea the meaning is pretty straight forward. Call me crazy but in my oppinion, this song seemed like an attempt to sound elegant and sophisticated but balance out maturity with pleasure. aka playboy. i sing this all the time but never ever mean what im saying, so people always stare at me lol |

.. a loaded gun complex sounds a hell of a lot better. And yeah i think this song is an exaggerated theme of jealousy. "Oh dont mind me! im watching you two from the closet, wishing to be the friction in your jeans" However the chorus really confuses me. "We're going down down in an earlier round, and sugar, we're going down swinging." I really find no relation to the song. "we're going down" means they're falling appart? The whole gun, "cock it and pull it" gives me the impression that he wants to kill himself from jealousy. Correct me if I'm wrong, but i really thing that part was supposed to be exaggerated. |
