It is definately about freedom. This freedom can go for anything however...becoming adult with more privledges, getting out of an abusive relationship, finding religion, or even escaping an oppressive country. Kinda makes me want to fight when I hear it. |

Nah, you shouldnt think to hard with this song. Its rather obvious that its about the pure ecstacy of sex. "Baby baby baby, you're like ecstacy
Maybe maybe maybe that's because I am on it"... basically saying that he/she is attracted to someone physically claiming there like "ecstacy". Just dont think to hard with this song becuase its mainly about the pure physical enjoyment we get out of sex, nothing else. Jon is quite hysterical with his lyrics sometimes. |

Incredible song. This song intrigues me. I feel that it isn't just about a "lover" but more about someone that you are very close to, wheather it be a husband, wife, relative, friend or even God. The first verse explains the "relationship" part with this person..."it's the kind of thing you get when you're not looking
it's the kind of thing you had from the start," meaning that there has always been a natural connection. Second and third verse seems to show confusion from this person (confuses me too lol) And finally the chorus simply shows that he/she will always love this person/God and hopes never to have "there love taken from them." |

Basically this song is expressing someone's feelings about living life to it's full potential. They see themself as a small being in this large world we live in..."The sky is big and my life is small ." In order to live life to full potential he/she feels they need to start a life with the one they love..."I want to leave with you
So we can build a perfect garden." To sum it up, it means that there's so much bullshit in today's "rat race" and that we should always live life to its full potential (in this case running away with someone you love and building a desert garden lol) |

Yup, your pretty much right Trashazon. Jon is basically expressing how he regrets not living life to full potential (for whatever reason it may be.) In effect, he seems to be very depressed hence the line "Hope is falling away from me." The ship sinking is a comparison to someone giving up on life because of these life long regrets. Awesome song. |
