can't believe nobody has mentioned this::: does anyone see the acoustic guitar's similarity to "Wish You Were Here?" Gilmour takes one of the most memorable parts from that song and who it was about (sid) and applies it to Roger Waters---basically saying "wish you were here," but moving on with the song, making it slightly more sophisticated, musically (omg there's a Bb in there...) and interesting, lyrically---as if the band has done the same thing im a little late with the post, but whatever |

| Pink Floyd – Terminal Frost Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
it's all in the name: terminal frost. the word terminal means the end of something, and the word frost is associated with cold. now, the coldness that could be referenced to in the song could refer to one's attitude toward the world/life.... so what it now means is the end of the cold / feelings of death. stop looking at the music and its aural aesthetics, instead look at the movement, as in a picture. the song clearly displays something that begins depressing, slow, cold, deathlike, then moves on to the climax which is the sax part, signifying a release from the cold. -shas |
