yes the sound has changed with the album, but think this way: would you want to play the same exact songs all the time? This album is defiantly more calculated,and a little less raw in that sense. There are, however, some awesome Jams on here. this song... wow. Ok well this is definatly not the meanoing, but when i listed to this song i was reading abuot Virginai tech and stuff... and it just sent chills up my spine. "Little soldier, little insect You know war, it has no heart It will kill you in the sunshine Or just as happily in the dark" I love that part.it applies to destiny, although of coruse there proolly another agenda.. i havent really thought this one out too fully yet. but it's very apocalyptal and maybe that's why it fits with the happenings at VT |

I am completly in love with this song! It (with December) is what made me fall in love with the band. This song is somewhat of a codependants anthem... hah jk sorta I can't stay over you. "It seems we drive forever but can never get away from here-"nomatter what you do they are always there "just one more try."just wanting to be with them I'm guessing you are over me, I guess it's bravery. "Because it's black out the window while you sleep in the passenger seat." this is where i think that they are still friends because they are in a car going soemwhere. This is if you are taking it literally, but it could be a metaphor for life and going soemwhere "So when it's always on your mind but you never speak of the name. It's in your blood and face and I'm certain it's fame." the past loveis on that person's mind.. so much that the person has become almost part of them "So I stayed out in the car because the weather had gotten to me. But its really these road signs and freeways that I cant take". Ok im going to play with the metaphor theory... not being able to take that they are growing apart, the more times and distance(not literal) that is between them the more irrational the obesssion and love with the past becomes. it also hurts more, because everything is changing and that person is no longer with them. "This can't be how you live."- spoekn from friends of the person thinking of their past love "It's like a ball and chain around your waist or this simple state." they make things so dificult that you are a prisoner to them, a ball and chain, pulling you down "Your mind's sick again".- your thoughts keep going back to them, you are plagued "I'm tasting nothing but 4 words, Please don't leave me."-- nomatter what happens you just want to be with them becuase they are such a part of you "And it's Dark in the winter so your ideas start to sleep." maybe seasonal depression? mayybeee also as time passes, the love(tahat occured during the summer) fades more and more. they start to loose the hopes they once had for the relationship "Well your head is spinning like that carousel, and I know you're a mess after 3 or 4".- tryint to deal with it, making your head spin from all the thoughts, ideas and memnories. perhaps a drug referrence? "But if you make it different then we'll make our way to the surface, and you favorite place." asking the past love to change this pain, to be with them and they can make it better. Because I know all the word and I sing you everything." a future memory the singer is having, what they want/think they could do with the past lover "Well they're just thoughts so go ahead and speak. Pick out what you like and call me when you're on the way. You can spend the night and hope to sleep all day. For me its just another week, twenty eight was once how I dreamed. And with your sent on my face I can leave and have you for days". ...not sure, maybe juist memories of the singer, maybe envisioned future moments they woish they could have, or past hopes "I still can't see you. The summer came and we got lost, all of us".- the love that happend in the summer was quick and crazy, and they got so wrapped up in it that they lost themselves, the beginning of why they are so in the blood (see above) "You are nothing with out her".- one of my favorite lines of the song. the singer misses the past love so much,and she is such a part of him that without her he is lost... nothing "I still wont remember your face, the features mix too well with this alcohol." either drinking to deal with it, or part of the summer craziness the rest is really pretty and I think that it is a memory or another future memory overall an amazingly beautiful track. i think alot of it is personal so it'a hard to know what they are talkign about, but also its generalized so you can. damn i love this band |

this song is amazing. Its so true and the imagry is great. Im always taking pictures so the line "Didn't have a camera by my side this time Hoping I would see the world with both my eyes" It makes me think of a guy that's moved away from a girl that he still loves and anythime he sees soemthing beautiful he wishes she was there. normally he takes pictures but it was too pretty to take his eyes off of. He's planning on taking her there whenever he gets her back. |

This is the first song I ever heard by Kill Hannah. It's definatly a total anthem. vVery simple, not alot of explaining all for it. In an interview once one of them (i think its Mat?) said "I've always had this strange instinct of wanting to protect all the little misfits out there. I think he is misunderstood and he kinda like it like that. people can and will shove him and eveybody else into their own little categories. This is him just saying"fuck you", you don't know me and you enver will, but yet you still listen to my music and I'm making fun of you for it... haha" Its a jam and i love it for that. It's stuck in your head immediatly. "tomorrow's never coming." My favoirt line.... kinda just like Nothing is ever going to change. I'm not going to pretend to be a hardcore fan, but I like some of the songs and I think that's whats important. I think everything about him and the band is very interesting. I'd love to have a conversation with him. |
