| Every Time I Die – The New Black Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
The name of the song "The New Black" is a play on the phrase "Pink is the New Black". This song is about people who jump on the bandwagon about "gothic" music, maybe like ETID. The line about it being about the ladies.....well....these guys have a reputation of being jokers, so there you go. "We don't dance no no no We got class No we don't have any fun at all" Refers to the perception that "gothic" people aren't fun that they are heathens (no class) "It's the new style and we know it We're not stunning, we just stunned and we're lying for a living" Refers to the fact that those with money are always in the know about what is becoming popular and how they percieve themselves as outcasts (not stunning) "Don't you know who I am?" No matter how hard popular band wagon people try to be "gothic" they always end up being ##### |

| The Black Dahlia Murder – Elder Misanthropy Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is about Cain, from the bible. He is condemned to walk the earth for eternity. The song just adds a few points to the story, like the sword, hating god etc. | |
| As I Lay Dying – Song 10 Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Why the big deal about Christian bands???? Just because they are christion doesn't mean they are incapable of writting songs about anything else. Maybe this songs is about God and his relationship with us, maybe not, maybe their are more than one meaning, like every song has.......Jesus people! THEY ARE A BAND!!!THEY CAN WRITE ABOUT OTHER THINGS!!!! I AM SURE THAT THERE IS MORE TO THEIR LIFE THAN GOD. | |
| The Red Chord – Love On The Concrete Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is obviously about how sex is the easiest way to make something of yourself, but it can also ruin you and your career. | |
| The Red Chord – Lay The Tarp Lyrics | 19 years ago |

This song, to me, pretty much tackles two problems in our modern world.. "How would you live in a world without pills for everything" We have forgotten how to take care of ourselves without somekind of medication to slowly addict us to it. The rest of the song deals with how, as a society, we have become obsessed with violence and death. Ever wonder why the biggest news stories are the ones involving death? |

| Norma Jean – Bayonetwork: Vultures In Vivid Color Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I really don't see the big deal with Norma Jean being a christian band. They write good songs that can be interpreted many ways, such as this song meaing, to me at least, depression and contemplating suicide. Any way NORMA JEAN ROCKS and their songs, whatever they mean, are some of the best metalcore written..........EVER!!! | |
