Gabriel Mann – My Little Box Lyrics 19 years ago
I think it's about suffering, but that's all I can get out of it so far, but I love the way it's played. I loved it in Ghost Ship - it fit perfectly in.

Adema – The Way You Like It Lyrics 19 years ago
I agree with i hate simple plan (and with thier name too). How many of you can honestly say that if you were a musician and your brother was John Davis, that you wouldn't go to him for help? Probably noone here. And as a band member for years now, I can tell you they at least have some talent - it's not like they're Ashlee Simpson or something, then I'd agree. Problem is, most people that bitch about bands were never in one to know the decisions they have to make: "Should I eat this week or buy strings?", "The lead singer's being a cocky prick again, should I vote him out despite years of friendship?", "You think I could humanly just stay up all this weekend again and try to sleep enough after work on Monday to make up for it?". If you're gonna' bitch about an artist's decisions or product, try doing what they do first.

The Sounds – Painted by Numbers Lyrics 19 years ago
I think this song is pretty self-explanatory. The phrase "painted by numbers" means to be judged as a number, not as a seperate person - being made into a stereotype. It's about how people look at someone and then automatically judge everything about them.

We'll be the same tomorrow
'Cause we all been painted by numbers
We're dancin' as we borrow
You said it was love
I said I'd like you to be mine

I think that verse is talking about how the writer doesn't care because people will always judge like that so why get angry about it, and "dancing as we borrow" means that they're just fine being judged even as they change because they don't care what the judging ones think. I'm not sure what the last two lines of that verse mean, but that's my guess of the song.

The Sounds – Riot Lyrics 19 years ago
I think this song is about being tired of people judging you on thier values instead of letting you live by your own. It refers to two infamous Sex Pistols members by thier nicknames - how most people look at them - and tells how they really weren't like that but that they lived by what they considered right. The narrator in the song is talking about how they don't consider themselves to be so bad, and that sooner or later people like them will have thier day - thier "riot".

The Who – Behind Blue Eyes Lyrics 19 years ago
I think it' about being the bad guy when everything you do seems right to you. I think blue eyes are used as a hint towards the aryan race idea to make the listener think about why even the "worst people" do what they do. After all, no human does anything without a reason, and a reason is a reason, no matter how little sense it makes to everyone else. Maybe, to these people, our evil is their good.

The Beatles – Yesterday Lyrics 19 years ago
I agree, this song is most likely very self-explanatory (unless we're missing something huge, although we probably aren't). But it makes me think about how art means something different to each person. For Paul, it could've been about his mother or something like that, but for someone else it may be about a grilfriend or maybe even a car, and that only makes it more perfect. Like I personally can't stand that band Crazytown, but back in the day my friends would always play them while we played hockey - so despite my hatred for them, their songs now mean the best times of my life to me. The only way art is ever beautiful is by the audience and artist alike seeing themselves in it.

AFI – Miss Murder Lyrics 19 years ago
I think it's about the person in the song feeling that we were abandoned by God, and he's asking himself if certain things are wrong, like murder and suicide. Like he maybe feels that God couldn't care less and that the situation means we define our own rights and wrongs now that God isn't caring even to judge.

Crazy Town – Lollipop Porn Lyrics 19 years ago
Okay, I never entirely listened to the lyrics to this song, but from first guess I'm guessing it's about a very hot girlfriend. Tons of good memories involving this song.

Cold – She Said Lyrics 19 years ago
I think it's about being in a relationship with a person who treats you very badly - someone conniving and decieving and that you never really know sometimes if they give even the slightest of cares about you - but every time you leave them or try to, you can't stand being away from them and no matter how bad they treat you or how bad you're drug through the dirt, you still want to be with them. A love-hate relationship. You hate what they do to you, but you love being wth them.

Atreyu – Bleeding Mascara Lyrics 19 years ago
I think it's about a love-hate relationship between this girl and the narrator in the song, and I also get the feeling that someone dies in this story, probably her. I think that maybe it's about love and hate and blood and death.

Rancid – Spirit of '87 Lyrics 19 years ago
I think this song is about a place where people would go to hang out and jam and where everyone got along, a place that was a like a home to them and that they would go to even though they may risk violence to do so - their hang out, so to speak. Even though they may have had checkered lives outside of the place, every Saturday at party time they'd go there, as would many others. That's what I think at least.
