| Fort Minor – Where'd You Go? Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I'm not one to be a flamer, but the first posters are IDIOTS. To clear it all up, Fort Minor is pretty much Mike Shinoda's thing. Yes, he was the one from Linkin Park, you know... The one who did the rap sorta thing? Holly Brooks is the voice you hear MOST in the chorus. And Jonah IS in the damn song. I hate it that you guys didn't give him credit. I know Jonah personally from when I lived in Sacramento and he's in the damn video in the car. lol GEEZE. The song is sharing a lonely tone that matches the same loneliness that families who's children or spouses are sent to the war have. It's wasn't know, just sudden... Hence the "Where'd you go?" Another user said it was about Mike's tour. That's an awesome one. :) |

Personally, I've always thought it was about a gun. That's what I was told. But I also hear it derived from an old prison cadance. I, myself... Think that Meat Loaf's cover was AMAZING. |

| I know for a fact it was Leadbelly who first RECORDED it. And then Ram Jam took it on to where it became more popular. | |

Ihatepinkfloyd, I think you're taking yourself much too seriously, because you're not interpretting, you're juding. Just for the facts, RHCP used to since about it all, and then they calmed down a lot within the past few years. A LOT. But I want you to listen to the song "C'mon Girl" There's a reference to drugs in that. This song, however... Isn't really a done deal, there's probably a hundred ways I can interpret it. Like someone said earlier, each time they listen to it, it means something different. Amazing when a song can still hit you hard after so many times of listening to it. I play this album daily. |
