Titus Andronicus – Fear and Loathing in Mahwah, NJ Lyrics 13 years ago
Is this a hidden track on the CD? I ripped it into itunes a while ago and it's a 0 second long song.

M83 – Car Chase Terror Lyrics 14 years ago
I'm surprised there's so much support for this track on here. It had some potential, but it really doesn't work very well, at all. The dialogue is poor, the voice actress is dreadful, and it ends up as the worst kind of over the top melodrama. Respect to M83 for giving it a go, but it's low point on an otherwise exemplary album.

Girls – Honey Bunny Lyrics 14 years ago
This song reminds my of the guy from A Complete History of my Sexual Failures... (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1037033/).It's about being a pathetic but lovable loser that just wants to find the right girl. The lead singer even looks quite a bit like him, they're rocking the floppy Kurt Cobain hair and raggy jeans grunge look.

Million Dead – I Am The Party Lyrics 16 years ago
I do love this song. It begings so furious and passionate, if you're not paying attention you get swept up in it and it appears he's been sincere, but then it all slows down, and by the point he says "can't you see my tongue inside my cheek" you realise you've been had. Very clever.

I like this a lot more than his solo stuff. I've only listened to 'Reasons not to be an idiot' properly, but the lyrics there are nowhere near as good as this. I found it a little too straight forward and bland, this much more interesting.

My Chemical Romance – Skylines And Turnstiles Lyrics 16 years ago
And if the world needs something better
Let's give them one more reason now

I find these lines a little problematic. What do they mean? Who is he addressing? Is he being political? It seems like a call to arms to fight the terrorists or somethign.

When he says "Let me go on record, Be the first to say I'm sorry" is he apologising for the western worlds oppression of other countries that led to things like the 9/11 attacks? or something else? Because that seems a little at odds with the later line "let's give them one more reason", it sounds like he's encouraging people to meet aggression with aggression. which is quite an unfashionable thing these days, what with all the political fallout the 9/11 attacks had (Iraq etc), but then this was written close to the actual attack so he can be forgiven for being a little emotional. I don't know.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Zero Lyrics 16 years ago
This song rules. I think it's about tough love, like the cool girl telling her friend how it is ("you're a zero") and encouraging her to put herself out there more ("get your leather on" - go out, party) so she can "climb, climb, climb higher" (like's been said, social ladder). Couldn't say what the 'Was it the cure?
Shellshock! Was it the cure? Hope not!' bit's about though. maybe she's talking about the 'cure' for her social awkwardness or something?
