I skipped a few posts. So will say "sorry" if I am echoing another's comments. BUT; I always thought it said "dishes in last week's paper...". Everybody else seems to think if is "and" rather than "in". Also, I think other people may be reading too much into the following line about prints on the door pulled shut. To me it is saying packing up their dishes in last week's paper (as to not break them when moving). And their prints are smeared on the doors due to the ink smudges on their hands from handling the newpaper. |

+1 to WendyWoo I'm not feeling this song too much either...only, it has yet to really grow on me. It isn't awful or anything, just not my cup of tea. For the time being: file this one away with "your algebra" and "black wave" |

I agree. This song is the most "instantly gratifying" on the album. I won't say that it has a Chutes Too Narrow feel...but I will say that it has a "they'll soon discover" feel. So catchy...so good...so shins |

| I think this song is awesome...just to short. For fun, earlier today I taught myself to play it in an acoustic folky, more traditional shins type style...and it is awesome. The chord progression is simple yet original...and the vocal melody, in typical shin's fashion, is great. | |

I don't know if it makes less sense...but I'll give you that it is a bit more goof-ballish. I guess it could be a sarcastic line...ya know? 'some great hero I would make...I hardly exist...i'm barely a vapor'. yeah yeah...I knew you'd come around to my way of thinking. j/k. I wonder what it really is though...it does sound like the "ubber man...." line. But it simply can't be. |
