| Hawkwind – Children of the Sun Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song really reminds me of a hippie circle, like the guitar and all...But its brilliant, I love it. I just cant understand why there are so few posts on Hawkwind, they are probably the worlds best space rock band! And spcace rock kicks ass! | |
| Radiohead – How to Disappear Completely Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Radiohead is indeed the pink floyd of the 21st century..but kinda less meaningful artist or as good in anyway :P ..soz im a huge floyd fan.. I wonder, is Thom schizophrenic? the name radiohead kinda implys the delusion of a radio being implanted into someones head...plus theyre the 21st century floyd :P |

| Pink Floyd – Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict Lyrics | 19 years ago |

wow is that a title? omg thats long enough to be the whole song. But congrats to floyd for coming up with the longest title that actually resembles a title. :P And it is pretty avant garde, isnt it. |

| Pink Floyd – Coming Back to Life Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
IMO, this song is so open ended. Its may have touches of post-WWII, and it may reflect Gilmours girlfriend..But I think it is really about change, and the type of psychedelic change that some drugs can bring about. "where were you when i was burned and broken" - a reflection of his past, regrets that change (coming back to life) didnt happen earlier "I was staring straight into the sun" - The sun, or white-light is a near-death phenomenon, and happens too with psychedelics, in which afterwards can completely change someone world. "While i pondered on this dangerous and irresistable pasttime" - hes definitely talking about them here. "heavenly ride through our silence" - exactly what Id say about acid, both antisocial and out-of-this-world. "killing the past and coming back to life" - forgetting past regrets, trying to take back control. "and headed straight into the shining sun" - he moves on into a brighter future. And if thats not enough, the main reason Id say its about acid, is the flow. And the fact that their target audience needs something to relate to, and all acid-heads i know loike floyd. Case-closed :P |

| Pink Floyd – Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Ive never done drugs before...is what I tell my parents anyways...just like floyd would prefer to not admit to their fans...Hell, you can even see it in their faces, and like omg, am I too believe ive done more acid than Wright? Acid twice? Get real, being a rock star is all about the drugs, and psychedelic rock (which according to wikipedia, is a genre in which the music expresses the feelings felt on psychedelic drugs...) is probably the most drug influenced music of all...Then on top of that, add to it the fact that the 60's were just full of acid... | |
| Pink Floyd – Waiting for the Worms Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I think waiting for the worms, where from hey you it says the worms 'ate' into his brain, could be a lesion on Pink's brain caused by drug abuse...Theres no doubt that roger waters used many drugs, and considering that pink floyd was a major influence on the late 60's, the most unforgettable year of LSD, I think its fair to say that much of rogers problems, or Pink's in this case, were drug induced...Worms on the brain could be used to describe the feeling of a lesion.. Yet again, it could just be the effect of fame on an untamed mind. The constant stresses of keeping millions of fans happy, having to live life as if being observed every woken hour...hiding behind a wall couldve been an attempt to redesign his lifestyle, out of the spotlight. |
