this song almost makes me cry. it is so beautiful, simple and perfect. i love the things people wrote about the lyrics. they are full of love and (almost) complete satiscaction with life. i don't know maybe..this is after a sad period (=winter) like when summer finally comes and you are happy just because it is finally warm again.you can almost feel the sun listenig to the song :) or maybe it is about finally finding someone you love (the way doors can open and people just walk in…i'm beginning to think that it might never happen) than the “beautiful lottery” is love like in “waste of paint” and who makes you happy again.but it might also be possible like the others daid that it is about his cousin and how she reminded him/the narrator of his youth/childhood when you just feel so free...when you think everything is possible. i think this was all said before but i just wanted to express how much i love this song! :) |

yea i like this song too. but i have to admit hat the new songs are rather...different. they don't sound THAT sad anymore. i loved the old stuff so fucking much, but the ep is quite unexciting i think. maybe it'll grow on me. bright eyes are my favourite band nevertheless. |
