To me, its a simple conflict of two people who are together, but they have both been unfaithful to eachother "its a small crime". She, has been thinking of the man that she is currently with but yet she is hanging out, maybe physical with another man. A new relationship. And she asks him "give my gun away when its loaded". Her gun is loaded with a love that she has for the man who is her boyfriend and not this lover. But how is she supposed to stay around if you wont pull the trigger and tell her that you love her, want her, want to marry her. He, though is cheating on her, he has his own "small crime". While she is doing what she is dong, he is out maybe "cheating". Though this girl who he is cheating with is pulling him through (getting him off?). . He being a man, wants and needs sex and he cant get it from the women that he is with, so that is why he is cheating on her, but yet he loves her. He feels gulity for the crime that he has commited, but its small considering the true love that he has for her.. .. It's like they are both talking to a mirror in the song, yet what they are both doing is ripping them apart from eachother. She thinks that it is him that is changing, and he feels that she is the one changing. They are both looking into someone else and deciding not to look into eachother. And his last cry is "No..." He cheated, but he loves her, and he regrets it, but he isn't done with the relationship, he wants to work, he wants to try. .. . she though never responds. .. :( |

An, Alien is highly unlikely but hey you never know. ------------------- "Down through the dark trees" The women that she is singing about is covered by some deep dark depression. Wether it be a secret or a mental illness its somthing that has covered her world. "You came to save me" (str8 fwd) "You're so ugly and you're so beautiful" The person who saves her has ugly things about them as well, but they are so beautiful for what they have inside of them. There is somthing there to stive for and morph into a beautiful butterfly. "You're like no one on Earth could be" str8 foward again "No one on Earth knows me like you do" The savior knows the worst about this women yet he is still there. He is still by her side. "In time you'll love me like one of your own" Not sure about this line, but I would infer that it takes time to love someone. We all learn/grow to love someone, becuase with love is trust. In time the savior will love her even though she has this dark forest over her head, because he loves her she will eventually become one of his own. Maybe marriage in the sense that they will be united and together as one. |
