| Black Sabbath – Time Machine Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Can you bench press a ton? No? You pussy!!! Its about reality in a virtual dream world. Because we are all in a time loop. anyone can literally become aware and change their lives and become famous. But at what cost? For every winner there is everybody else that isn't living that dream life. Not to mention pussies calling pussies pussies. This is a concept album about machines and insane overseers. Dio is encouraging us to disobey the systems of chance. |

| Heaven & Hell – Double the Pain Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Why overlook the referrences to machines? To me its about a person haunted by dreams of the external world. someone becoming aware of the matrix. Its about how Neo and smith fight it out. God and his ultimate equation. Dio is singing from the Architects point of view. Basically saying it this Neo/Smith that will be the next Architect. The Neo-Dio if you will. And the from me confusion like nothing you've seen part. Is telling the listener that being God you must be ready to play all parts. Manipulate the living for humans and programs will eventually self destruct without the Source. Hence the schizo reference. Ii recomment you dudes play 21st century schizoid man after listening to this song to draw parallels . |

| Muse – Resistance Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
It begins. The song is has a mix of 1984 and Matrix meaning. Is our secret safe tonight Are we out of sight? Is Neo safe? and do the enemies know that we know? Love is our resistance love is Neo. Just combine the l and v you get Neo. They expect and assume Neo will join the resistance against the thought police which are agents of the system ensuring no one find out that we are in a dream world. Dream police anyone??? Spread the word!!! |

| pardon my spelling. cellular troubles ;-) | |
| Coheed and Cambria – The Black Rainbow Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
The song is about finding someone who has the power to our world. "to believe in OUR doubts" Meaning that Sanchez is one of the few who knows his person of great interest exists. The doubts are the belief that religion and most of what we have learned growing up are systemic lies. In order to find and make the individual realise and awaken was by reaching this person via music. The end of the song has some malevolent laughing Basically if this person he is singing to has realized and know what they are has the potential to save or destroy our world. No matrix referrences??? |

| Andrew Bird – Anonanimal Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Oh and heres what vicious fish referred to: Stephen Kings Insomnia The crimson king took the form of a catfish ot king fish. Using illusion to trick the protagonist into failing. The Crimson King is The Merovingian. simple no? |

| Andrew Bird – Anonanimal Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Another song where Bird encorporates matrix ideas. This is more subtle. From what a.i. can tell. It poses the question as to what happened to Neo. Thus Neo was not entirely erased by the deus ex machina. Or that Neo is the God-head in the matrix now . Lost their sight? lol |

| Andrew Bird – Masterswarm Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
The Intro is about how we were all cut from a cloth. cloned. The various referrences to insects and swarms is about The Deus Ex Machina that Neo negotiated with (feeding from the arms of the master). We were literally all in the hands of Neo since he bought us more time to be posting song meanings. We were the young. being mass produced at the time of Revolutions. Its a statement that we owe our lives to neo since we were the collective that bargained survival for peace. |

| Andrew Bird – Not a Robot, But a Ghost Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Andrew Bird is lying. He can tell you song is about a cornflakes box riddle and you would believe it. This is about deja vu and reliving moments over and over again. Then finaly he sees the matrix code. He finds out that he is in the matrix and he writes a song about it. Gives you a b.s. explanation to see who is the first to dechypher the meaning. It is also an affirmation that he is neither machine nor program. He believes he has a body outside the the matrix and is waiting for someone to to help him find a way out. Thus in turn if he has no external body then he literally is a Ghost in the matrix. yes! comment # 19 |

| Yes – Machine Messiah Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
This is a song of prophesy. It is about Neo and judging from the time frame. Neo was born again in the system during the 80's. The only way to accept the truth of the song is to forget what lessons you have learned from religion. The fact that they want to see him and feel him everywhere is because one of the writers must have known about this Neo. Jon Anderson does not play this in set lists when in concert because it exposes and makes it obvious that they knew about neo and the truth of the matrix before the wachowski's introduced the idea with the trilogy begining 1999. I can name several song that tie in to the re-emergence of the One. But I will comment on the respective song thread. and one more. Notice Yes released an album entitled Going for the One prior to Drama. |

| Blue Öyster Cult – Sole Survivor Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song goes together with Veteran of the Psychic wars. Instead of escaping the devastated planet, the sole survivor choses to die alone, since there were no playboy bunnies survived to propogate with... | |
| Black Sabbath – Psycho Man Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| A fitting song for a serial killer documentary. | |
| Black Sabbath – Lord Of This World Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Interesting that a fellow believer would be judgemental towards others that share different beliefs. That aside, magicalweasal is right, the message is "don't wait till you die to repent and ask for God's mercy." This will make your deal a lot more painful and frightening when it can be a pleasant pseudo-masochistic (painfully enjoyable) experience. |

| Black Sabbath – Jerusalem Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I agree. The entire song is summed up as a warning to those who use the bible to mislead their followers. You say you've walked through the valley. You say you've seen the signs. Then: Every road leads to anger...is there reason to return? |

| Black Sabbath – You Won't Change Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
A person that no one person, religion, society and government can change his mind. Still the individual is willing to hear their point of views and ideas. In the second verse describes how the significant other (MIS)understands the individual and shows sympathy rather than love. But this is so because he, although capable of feeling love, can not express love. The last verse shows that there is still hope. Only He can change his world/feelings. Sabbath at this time were going coke bonkers. The Ozzman was also having problems in his first marriage that ultimately ended in divorce. |

| Black Sabbath – Iron Man Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I agree with sastraxi (I only read the first page of opinions). Most people think it's about a comic book hero because the title of the song and this verse: "He was turned to steel In the great magnetic field Where he traveled time For the future of mankind" Jesus can't travel time...unless there's a book of the bible I missed? Not all songs have layers upon layers to disguise the true meaning, or in this case, the identity of the main character. How uncool would it be if Ozzy or any Sab went on the record and say, "Yeah! It is about Jesus." What Super Hero who saves people is going to kill those he once saved? Black Sabbath's objective was to make music that would scare the cagada out of us. Although it is always possible the song means absolutely nothing at all. Remember! "If it rhyme It no cryme" |

| Black Sabbath – A Hard Road Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Can't we all just get along? We live through the good and bad things of life. Preventing sorrow and suffering on a personal level. Then the shadows of your nightmares become small. The most important line in this song is "Carry your own load" This song reminds me of John Lenon's Imagine. "There will be an answer, Let it be..." Take care of yourself first. Solve your own problems. If your time on earth permits you, help others. |

| Black Sabbath – Buried Alive Lyrics | 19 years ago |

A person(s) turns to religion for salvation only to find lies and hypocracy. Instead of leaving they stay quiet and sing along in the charade. |

Doubts about the afterlife. The only way to find out, After All, is death. But what if there is no afterlife... "Just one way to see" |

| Deep Purple – Anyone's Daughter Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
About a man who meets women that are too good for a man like him. First he tries to spend the night with the farmer's daughter. He gets caught and subsequently thrown in jail. Next, the mayor finds his daughter in bed with our "hairy" protagonist. Gets thrown in jail yet again. This time the punishment is more severe. Conclusion: In the end, our poverty stricken friend, FINALLY, strikes it rich by marrying into a rich family. This happens because the father, unlike the previous two, takes no direct action to stop the relationship. The last lines: "Why did I always get The kinda girl I didn't wanna get Now I've got what I always fought for Cos I've married a rich man's daughter" The only way for him to get what he alway$ wanted wa$ to get with a girl he didn't wanna get. |
