HowIChoose2Live, I actually think youve got the choking on pride thing backwards. Choking on pride is not something we should do, that's swallowing pride. When TCC refers to choking on pride, they're talking about the whole "pride comes before a fall" thing. Choking on pride means your pride is hurting you somehow; youve taken the fall that your pride set you up for. As for swallowing your soul, i have no idea what that means... |

"my nakedness is so clear in the glow of the moonlight" this was written by somebody who has been utterly shamed/humbled. he comes to God knowing that he has nothing to offer that could ever make him worthy of God's love. But God gives it freely anyway, no strings attatched. Incredible, isn't it? |
