this song has two meanings... one is that -as the rest of the album- it talks about how people who suffer from SP experience music that is either they heard once and is subconciously buried or music that they kno anyway...it is very distinct and very intence, then comes to an abrupt stop... the second meaning is like their song "sanzen" and about how people no longer appreciate art and music, only appreciate the ones that are being fed to them by the media... |

i think i got what the title means..i was lookin through wikipedia and this is what i found: In Korea, it is referred as Gawinullim, (가위눌림) literally in English: "To be pressed by Gawi." The meaning of Gawi is unclear but generally known to mean "spirits" or "demons." Another word in Korean "Gawi" is a homonym that means "SCISSORS", which creates confusion for the accurate meaning of the word. sooo "scissor lock" IS related to SP... AND more proof that the whole album "El Cielo" is about SP: The musical group dredg put out an album called El Cielo dealing with sleep paralysis. A good portion of the lyrics on the album are taken directly from letters by people describing their experiences with sleep paralysis. |

well...at first when i saw the music video..i did think that they were talking about being rejected by someone...it's about a girl.. But then i caught the last part in the video..and it flashed "part 1" then "part 2" then "part 3"...i was wondering if they meant the three-parts of the holy trinity...but then again this is AHC...i don't think they write religious lyrics..or anything related to christanity..or i dunno.. anyho thought i'd share that part... |
