This song isn´t about dreams or dreamers as you have been saying, it is about the American Dream, and how it is destroying everything including our lives. It tells you what to want and pushes you into a work frenzy wanting all this crap that you dont need and pushing you all along. America always wants more of the pie, always more of what we are owed, more land, more money. All that Dorthy has that is good is her dreams while she is sleeping, then she wakes up and has to go to WORK in this American Dream, she chases its impossible reality which she has been spoonfed to do since she was little. |
