Ok, every song on here has the same argument, Danzig or Graves. I think Danzig was better but Graves is good too. Just different. And i just saw them 4 days ago at The Whiskey with Jerry singing and it was a sick show. The only thing that has changed is the voice. They are still good songs. I'm tired of people hating the new misfits for no reason other than that it isn't Glenn singing. If he is the only reason you listened to them then are you really that big of a misfits fan? Line-ups change, people leave, deal with it. Don't hate the rest of the band for continuing to play. And since Danzig was only with the band for the first 6 years. They had 6 years with him and 26 years without him. The Newfits are more of a band than the original line-up. You don't say Iron Maiden isn't really Iron Maiden because Paul Di'Anno left. And Jerry shouldn't have made Graves try and be Danzig but can you blame him? They had a great thing going and he didn't wanna lose it. So calm down everyone. They are still the Misfits, they still kick ass. |

I think it's about a regular man who starts dreaming of war and death and terrible, chaotic things that involve people dying( the world exploding, chaos) and the wicker man (which he sees as the means of execution). In his dreams, someone is telling him that his time will come, that one day he will be one of the people dying in these horrible events. |

Hey Wiggles, no offense but You Should Be Shot. Yes, Blaze is a good singer. But he wishes he was Bruce Dickinson. He sings very close in style and voice but he's a poser. Bruce Dickinson is the greatest vocalist of all time. |

I know you guys will get pissed off at this, but this song does portray war in a negative way, as do all of Maiden's war songs (with the exception of "These Colours Don't Run"). There really aren't any good things in war. |

srry i forgot to finish that, Its saying that this flag doesn't run, this country doesn't give up. we fight far away from home against foes who did nothing to us personally but our country needs us to fight them so we do as we are told and suffer. |

The Colours its referring to are the flag. not the colours on the flag but rather the flag itself. In the military, flags are called colours and this song is talking about not being afraid of war and never surrenderring or backing down. |

It's about the unpopular kids who nobody even knows they exist but they know that if they commit suicide then people will know who they are. There is also that verse that starts with "some children died the other day" which is a reference to columbine. |

This song needs Ozzy. Without his voice it would not be the same. That voice just adds something. |

This is one of the few maiden songs that doesnt have a deep hidden meaning, its all right there. its about the battlefield on Paschendale where hundreds of thousands of men lost their lives in one of the most horrible parts of human history. If u understand trench warfare then it becomes WAYYY more powerful. just because u realiz just how stupid and useless of a strategy it is that gets men needlessly killed. The 3rd battle of Ypres which is the battle that this song refers to most was the first time the germans used mustard gas. my friend's greatgrandfather was there and the gas knocked him unconcious for 10 days, after which they made him fight again. This song is amazing because there are 2 awesome fast crazy guitar solos that somehow manage to keep the sad depressing mood with one of the strongest lyrical verses in history separating them. Truely great song about a truely Horrible part of our history. |

OK Do not take it literally, it is a metaphor. Viro was right on, its about how when rock stars are popular they are worshipped and treated like gods but then someone new comes along and they "die" even though they are gods. the "powerslave" means that they are slaves to their power, without their fame they are nothing and in their last hours they are slaves to the power of death in the sense taht all they have left to do is "die" to fade into normal people. |

Virtual factor u should be shot, this song is the farthest from crap a song could ever possibly be. it is great and maybe if u did a little research on european airwars in WWII u might understand it. it would also help if u were a pilot like, for instance, Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris, or me. Im only 15 and i can fly better than most profesionals.U have to be a pilot to truly understand this song. The chorus "Live to fly, fly to lie, do or die/aces high" is about the love of flying that only pilots have. that if u cant fly u have no purpose in lifen and the "aces high" means that in war its all happening right now, either you do it right or u die because the enemy is coming down on u. |
