Hey, thewakebehindyou, do you have a translation for "Pogledaj isbred sebe, prije nego sto odkoca sve"? Google translate and Babel Fish don't have Serbian. ...Although, I think I get what you mean by "chorus" now. "nego" sounds like "black." (well, not really, but in a lot of other languages, it does.) So, is it "your picture trends in black and white" then? It looks almost like it might be more, since you have a comma in there, but that might just be where the pause is when he says it... |

hey now. what makes you say that, israel? anyway, back on topic. listening to the multitrack of this song without the screams, and the soldiers, and all that atmospheric what-not is actually really cool, albeit not quite as enticing as the original, it is something you can easily blare on your stereo system without the neighbors wondering how many people just died in your house. |

well, i didn't bother to read everything, so if i repeat something already said, dont kill me. i was reading through lord of the flies just now for an english paper, and i noticed there is a paragraph that pointed out forty feet, and i thought to myself, "thats a good song" and i started listening, and noticed the resemblance to the book. i did see the first post about lotf, and im going to take it a step further. (by the way, massive spoilers in this one) As I glance once upon the foam (ocean water tends to make foam, and ralph is looking at it from atop the cliff) 40 feet beneath my feet (ralph is standing 40 fett above the ocean) The coldest calm falls (the water is cold, and right before piggy died, things were quite violent, but upon his , things slowed down a bit. just a bit.) Through the molten veins (the veins in piggy's head) Cooling all the to slush (blood is warmer than the sea water, so naturally, it would cool down, and become part of the afore mentioned foam) That congeals around the brain (the foam, or sluch, is congealing around piggys brain) La la la (and jack and his savages dont give a damn) 40 feet remain Salt scales upon my drying arms (the salt water affecting the skin of the boys) Burn my back beneath the sun (describing life on the island) But I am cold beneath the burning rays (more of life on the island) Looking down, looking down (the scene when ralph is looking down the cliff over wich piggy was so violently hurled the day previous) Down, down again La la la (when the officer comes to rescue the boys, nobody cares that piggy has died at this point. the officer askes ralph how many were killed, and he casually says "only two.") 40 feet remain |
