The song title is pretty self-explanatory...This is a dead man's will...he's telling the individual people what to take and why...It's such a beautiful song and just the idea of it's meaning and why he wrote it...He's confessing his love for everyone after his death, because maybe he was too scared and stupid not to when he was alive, as he was to ask for his love's hand in marriage...so good...CKress |

It's pretty obviously a reminiscent song of this girl he loved so much and he's kinda talking to her though she may not be there...he's saying that he'll do the unspeakable for her: do my best to make a drawing of God and lucifer, a boy and girl...and, as i just found out that Allgauerjodlen already covered, he's the sinner, she's the angel...I love this song so much
and just hearing this at the end of In Good company, i cried and sang along...it's just so good...it's so well-written...i love iron and wine...CKress |
