Fuck I love this song, especially the transition between the "blues" and the metal guitar taking over with "Your face will leave your rotting head, in the early morning Your guts will leave your corpse, your spine will break and crack in two" |

As already said this song and video is about the Heaven's Gate group who believed that their only choice was to take their own lives, and that a UFO would gather their souls and take them to a higher plane of existance. Please read this, it's so exciting, and will give you a proper explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heaven%27s_Gate_%28religious_group%29 I find i scary that they called it the "Heaven's Gate Away Team" which refers to content in the Star Trek series... anyways.. read it! It's so exciting. |

About the interpretation try watching the music video and read minuteman's comment, I think this is true... the aliens are symbolic for the feeling that something new and strange is coming to our planet and causing these hard weather conditions... mostly because of CO2 (the more joule is inside the athmosphere, the more violent the weather will be) Though i don't think they reference to aliens, or atleast i hope not, and tbh i think the music video is a bit lame with all those made up alien scenes, though it's a cool song |

| Deathstars – The Rape of Virtue Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Is the "you" part also the religion/heavens/god, or is it the man who's trying to get away from the religion. "You fell - So I walked away" So faith failed him, e.g. someone he loved died or whatnot And the last "We fell - So i raped your heart" So this time his belief really failed himself aswell, badly, so now he's ready to throw everything away. Or is it the opposite "As I rape your soul of virtue I am a god of lust and pain" The I is the (imaginary) god of the "you" |

The lyrics are wrong ppl, Dreadnaught is having the correct ones. I think this text is about this scream, which the human race have been using since our creation. We all use it, no matter where we are from, or what we are. - "They scream, You scream, I scream We scream, But no one listenes" No one listenes, no one understands that we are the same, we are all on the same planet. - "We are ordinary people, we all live different lives In the end we're pretty much the same We're just living in different lies" The more we try to seperate humanity from eachother, the bigger chance we will ruin it all. - "When we build walls around us We end up in a mess" |
