| Angelspit – Fuck Fashion Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This song I believe is about the overwhelming need to conform and be fashionable. Selling ourselves to corporate industries. "Takes to the knife for a vivisection." is a clear indication of the scientific and analytical mindset that governs our fashion industry. Vivisection's are dissections usually performed on animals for scientific purposes, and this translates into human society on a more materialistic scale. "X kilograms of flesh to shave off," is one reference to media's portrayal of a fuckable being. In fact the usage of the phrase, "Fuck Fashion" can be interpreted in many ways in some ways it seems as though Angelspit sing the phrase as though society actually does fuck fashion, and engages with it so frequently that they see little else. Other times, it seems that it's an outcry against fashion, telling it to fuck off. Interesting. :) |

| Angelspit – Meat Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I apologize for any errors in these lyrics. It was tricky trying to pick out exactly what they were singing through all the layers of distorted electronica. ^-^;; I might as well add my thoughts on these lyrics to validate this comment in some way. xD; I don't particularly feel any hidden depth inside these lyrics. It's a clear obsession with lust and physical beauty. Of course the sexual nature of the lyrics is sadistic/masochistic and thus makes it that much more 'appetizing'. ^-^; Other than that the lyrics contain nothing more than that banal lust devoid of anything other than flesh and consumption. |

| Angelspit – 100% Lyrics | 19 years ago |

To me this song is a very macabre, delicious and witty look at ignorance. It does use imagery of cannibalism and does allude to it on many occasions but it's more of a figurative way of implying that society has become little more than food. That our brains are fried by so many outside influences, [Vatican, entertainment, politics..] that we cease to become any more substantial than walking meat. [All in all an awesome song though. My favorite lyrics: "Bathing in your arrogance, dining will ensue, God made me a cannibal to fix problems like you." Just genius.] |

| Malice Mizer – S-CONSCIOUS Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
During their Merveilles De L'espace concert, Malice Mizer used military theatrics to visually portray both S-Conscious, and N.P.S. N.G.S. Thanks to Gackt's wonderful engrish, one can assume that the lyrics are from a soldier's point of view. "Though it's too noisy around you," supports the war-theory, as the disorientation that arises from the torrents of bullets and screams confuses the soldier as his "S-Conscious" [Subconscious] begins to question him. Asking him why doesn't he "smell a rat"? All the questions are from the subconscious and are slowly torturing the soldier in the midst of his battle. Ending off with that universal expression of angst, "Why me?" |
