| PlayRadioPlay! – I'm Guessing There's A Pill For That Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
yeah. the medicine is most definitely not christ. dan is atheist. my thought has always been that this song is about how in this age, we prescribe pills for nearly everything. the line "ever wonder why the animals so narrowly escape manic depression?" explains this point the best. animals live well, they dont take a god damned pill every time they dont feel perfect. thats just my opinion. |

| Oh, Sleeper – Vices Like Vipers Lyrics | 17 years ago |

"You see your body as beauty, but your pulse is worth more." ^this line is amazing. well. compared to the rest of the song, which is unbelievable. that line stands out so much because of all the vein, superficial people that are in the world today. |

| Avenged Sevenfold – Chapter Four Lyrics | 19 years ago |

OKAY, here are ALL the connections: the song is called chapter 4, chapter 4 of genesis is the story of cain and abel the song has the overall theme of a man killing his brother out of vengance and jealousy, cain killed abel, his brother, out of vengance here are some particulars... when god gives cain his punishment, he says "my punishment is to great to bear" a line in the song is "infernal man, punishment too great to bear" god comes to cain and says "wheres is your brother? what have you done?" a line in the song is "where has he gone? what have you done?" when god finds out that abel is dead he says "Listen, your brother's blood cries out to me from the soil" the song has the line "From the soil I hear his blood cry out to me" in the beginning of the story, god notices cain is upset because god favors abel and also refers to him using the term "crestfallen" the song has lines that state "You took his side, you took his gift, feel the power of a fallen man, crestfallen man" and when god finds what cain has done, he is banished out of eden, the place of god, and the song has a part that goes "Far away in this land I must go, out of the site of the One. A punishment sent from his hand a hardship no one should know Now go out of the site of the One, away in this land you must go." refering to this banishment |
