The most overated song of all time, not to mention zeppelin song, just listen to achilles last stand and tell me that there isn't more musical talent behind achilles. As for lyrics, and can think of dozens of songs that have much more powerfull and/or meaningfull lyrics than stairway. Biggest poser song of all time, it pisses me off when assholes who don't know shit about rock n' roll try to lecture me on stairway, when they haven't even listened any classic rock, just like all these assholes who go around wearing classic rock shit because its "vintage" when they know nothing about the bands that they advertise. |

I've heard that this song can also be an allusion a bad relationship, but the girl is as adicting as cocaine, possibly a reference to good sex. The speaker could be in denile "She don't lie", and he is escaping depresion thru the good sex he is getting from this woman. Just something I've heard and thought I'd throw out there. |

Its an awesome Van Halen song from one of their best, if not their best, albums. |
