A guy and a girl. they both like each other, but they're too shy to show it. So there's a lot of uncertainty and tension between them. for me this songs about the price and the prize of breaking this tension. The price is getting off your lazy ass and plucking up the courage to ask this girl out. Wot's more, the date (that took all yr courage just to happen) is full of embarrassing moments. You talk about superficial stuff. You constantly think you're not worthy and should've never asked her out. You drink up to keep the date flowing. Its basically an awkward mess ;p. The prize? Well by this time, you discover that you're not alone ("there's room for 2") in this 'awkward mess' ("grave?") you've found yrself in. This not only breaks the ice, but also helps both guy+girl to swallow their prides which actually were the cause of all the shyness and tension in the beginning. this could mean the beginning of something very special. that's wot this song says to me anyway xD. |

hmm i think its about the end of one of those relations based on a physical crush. Probably the gal is cheatin on the guy and by the time she decides to fess up he already knows or expects it...they get shy, and there is rly not much more to say. they know they'll turn each other on for a while still...and the guy hopes the gal feels sry enough to sleep with him maybe one last time...but in the end i imagine they end it all up with one last miserable dance....xD pretty kwl song :D |
