I do believe it's about drugs, because of the 'china white' and 'chase the dragon' references. Possibly 'Charlie' too, since it has 'tracks', which are what the marks are called from needle use. I think it's about someone that died from drugs. |

Those lyrics are really really wrong.
*I'm amazed that we survived.
*looking out the window at the city street lights
*to hell with the people, to hell with this place
*we'll blow the whole damn world off
We're so anti-social.
Dead end kids want blood thats for sure |

The Beatles suck. They're downright awful. As for awesome bassists, Propagandhi anyone? Amazing. |

The reason he mentions poetry is because poetry is commonly written with hidden meanings. The Chinese goverment tried to control all writings, but if they couldn't clearly see the meaning or thought it was something else, then they might not do anything about it. |

My fucking favorite song. I love the bass, even though it's not one of Matt's more extraordinary/amazing ones. It's Ben Zanotto, which was a kid in Lar's crew (The Skunx) that he ran around with. His best friend I believe. They hung out and got drunk and stuff. Just about the times then and what he did. |

KC dies. She pretty much commits suicide, whether intentional or not. She's not happy with where she's at, and she wants to escape. She doesn't like the people around her, whether people as in 'friends' or people as general people in the scene. or the whole city. Anyone seen the video and wonder why she's at CBGB's which is in New York? (And about to close...RIP...) I like Rob's part a lot, dunno why. Especially when they're on Conan or whatever hell show that was and Tim is hopping around in front of the drum set in the back while Lars sings... |

One of my favorite songs. Haven't heard the NOFX version, but NOFX is pretty awesome. He's sick of being away and wants to go back. I'm making shit up now so I'll stop...Where'd the Olympia thing come from? Did someone live there or what? It seems random to me... |

It's aw Max....you muthafucker....
Anyway, I think it's about a drug dealer pretty obviously. Ordinary crook, chopped the rock before you bought it, sickness know you caught it. Heavy drug dealer. The Robert Maxwell thing above makes sense, but why would Rancid have to do with him? |

Songs about living in a rough area, not much happening, everyone's afraid to leave the house. Nothing going on. I live just outside chicago so I know how it can be, but life's rough everywhere. No one's really got the easy end of it. |

Some say it's from his heavy drug use in early years (like post Op.Iv), which is what I think. Some say it's him trying to impersonate a cockney accent, which is bullshit. I say it's from drugs. And purdy_punk, I think my IQ just plummeted about 50 points. Awesome song, definietly about a junky who's world falls to pieces. And yes, it's a play on words but they wrote it that way, rather than how it's supposed to sound, if that makes sense. Don't get all uptight. And yes, Tim's dyslexic which is probably part of why he sounds how he does. |

I do believe that Matt started Rancid to keep Tim off drugs, which he fell heavily into after Op Iv's break up. The band was too fast, they were too young and inexperienced to handle it. That's my take on it, I wasn't even born when Op Iv was around and I live across the country anyway, though I wish I coulda been there. |

I love this song. Sham 69 is awesome. I dunno if they did it first, but I think so. And Lars's other band did it, but in my opinion Sham 69 did it best. Anyway, kick ass song, very clear meaning. If we're united, we can't be divided, we're very unified and all that shit. Kids are kids, punks are punks, we're all human, don't let that affect you. Love it. |

This song does sound like it could be about Tim's divorce. It was a pretty rough time and he wouldn't be here without his friends. Or it could be about any girl that's hurt him and left him on the wayside. It's pretty optimistic, with him saying how he's going to make things right. I like this album overall. To me selling out is compromising your music or ideals for the money, which I don't think Rancid or Tim has done. So fuck that. |
