I completely agree with that. That's what i thought when i watched the movie and replayed the theme tune. Line's like "the odd's will betray you, and i will replace you", it really ties in with the interaction between M & Bond throughout the film. |

The line "but i think that you should swear" could also be a statement to the record label/support base asking them to show support for them and to be honest and commited to them.
I dont know, but it's still one of the best songs ive heard in a while. |

It is a touching song, especially the way Lynnot sings it. He pumps so much emotion into the lyrics when he sung it.
It would be interesting to know if he wrote it about a particular event in history, or if it's just a song about collective battles and/or genocides. |

i hate Puff Daddy, but i remember hearing this song when i was a young lad when Godzilla came out, and all i could notice were the drums. I actually really like the 'big' sound of them in this song. But no, it is no comparison to the original, none at all. |

This is a fantastic song, really suits the movie (superb in its own right) to a tee. Chris' voice is one of the best in the business and it's slight rugged-ness and grit kind of reflects Bond as portrayed in the movie. I put it up there with The Spy Who Loved Me, Goldfinger and (funnily enough) Sheryl Crow's Tomorrow Never Dies. Great Tune. |

I reckon one of the guys was having a fight with his girlfriend while the other one was sitting on the couch getting fat and watching t.v. Simple |

| Dire Straits – Brothers In Arms Lyrics

Brothers in Arms is definately about comradery during war and yeah i agree with b-ray, that although it could be adapted to most wars, it seems to be the Faulkland Islands war. It's such a moving song, especially the line:
"You did not desert me, My brothers in Arms"
That line always gets to me, just something about the mateship and the dependance that each soldier has on the man next to him, his brothers. |

| Jeff Buckley – What Will You Say Lyrics

Yeah its an open G tuning. When Jeff plays it on his beautiful Rickenbacker, especially on the last chorus after the solo when he screams "Mother dear, the world's gone cold. Noone cares about love anymore", that has got to be one of my favourite Jeff Buckley moments. Listen to the Mystery White Boy version, it is so inspiring. |
