It's about someone who isn't opening up in time, letting the other person know who he is, emotionally, he's selfish because he is holding himself back, he sees this after something goes wrong, hiding what he is or perhaps can be to the person he is in love with. He sees his flaws, and wants to change but at the same time cannot, because he will lose himself, sounds like a constant struggle of falling in love, but unsure if the other is truly feeling the same way, because he's never told her and keeps his self protected, hoping one day she'll come around. |

I think it's about a struggle, one loving one, and the other just not feeling it. "And if I could open my mouth wide enough for a marching band to march out they would make your name sing" The one who is in love, wants them to see how beautiful it is, and would do anything to make the other one fall in love.
