I agree with a few of you here in a sense. I think it is saying "death to love!" in a way. Love won't be permanent so don't try building your life around it because surely you will hit the ground. You are still special, so die from the whole love scene and blossom as your own person. |

I think it could easily be political. Red elephant as part of the whole partisan jawnpiece, Swaying stars.Time running out. Compromises. Maybe it is about a policital leader addressing his country. |

This song ties into the theme behind "In Circles." Two lovers are pulled apart by society as the "walls [they] build," "the stain," violence from the uneasiness in the world around them, and the fashion serve as tearing factors. Still, the poet feels hope that they will remain together as everything feels calm when they lie together in the morning. Great way to finish off sunny day's career. |
