Oh, and the song has nothing to do with "anti-Jesus" or "anti-religion". I don't understand why some people have to perceive anything to do with the "rock" genre, "metal" in particular, as being against religion. Listen with your ears and not your ass. |

This is obviously about Bill Hicks. Aenima was pretty much dedicated to him. Hicks used to open for Tool at some shows and had become good friends with the band. He was also one of the greatest comedians and social critics in American history. If you haven't heard ALL of his shit, i recommend that you do so immediately. Once you've heard his shit, listen to the song, and you'll see why it is definitely dedicated to him. p.s. Why would Maynard write a song called "Eulogy" for L. Ron Hubbard, if he says "fuck L. Ron Hubbard" 11 tracks later? |
