Flogging Molly – Whistles The Wind Lyrics 19 years ago
Regardless of what Dave says live...he loves to mess around and joke with the crowd...this is not about being a loser. This song is about Dave's eight year "exile" from Ireland, apparently there was a problem with his VISA and dual passports, and he was broke. He wrote this about that time away from home, being nothing more than a passing wind at his mother's doorstep.

When he did in fact return to Ireland after 8 years he went back to Beggar's Bush to his mother's home. He knocked on the door, and she opened it. She said "Who are you? What do you want?"

"Mum, it's me...David...your son"

She didn't recognize him at first being that she has no phone so he could call her, and she doesn't have a mailstop either. This one according to Dave "Always cracks me up inside..it was so painful to write, because I wanted to be home again"

This is also on the FM DVD "Whiskey On A Sunday" buy it...it is a kick ass movie!

Flogging Molly – The Likes Of You Again Lyrics 19 years ago
This song was written by Dave King as a tribute to his late father, who died at a reasonably young age. After being "exiled" from Ireland for eight years (more to the point that there was a VISA and passport problem with Dave) Dave returned to Ireland to play this for his mother, who had not heard his music before. Needless to say, it struck a mammoth chord (no pun intended) with his mother.

This is all on the FM DVD "Whiskey On A Sunday" if you don't have it already...buy it! It RULES!

Coheed and Cambria – The Willing Well III: Apollo II: The Telling Truth Lyrics 19 years ago
"That hoe-down song at the very end is a disgrace, and I'm trying to find a way to simply cut it off. What a way to ruin a great song..."

It is not there to ruin the song. The bonus track is a cover of Led-Zeppelin's Bron-Y-Aur. It's a tribute to the great Zep. After meeting Claudio while doing an interview for a school newspaper, my bands singer informed me that the band does indeed love Led Zeppelin. Which is why that track is there.
