We never ended up dating but we both know that there was a time where we could and maybe should have. But by the time I had finally gotten the courage to ask her she said I had waited too long. |

i think you're right, it does sound like that, and it does make more sense.
plus, i'm pretty sure the line is "heard stories of bare* velveteen". also i think she might be saying tea instead of tv, a friend and i have discussed this and we still aren't sure, but i'd like to believe that she says both. |
