I think it's about how hollywood prioritises the wrong things. Like don't pay attention to great thoughts or original ideas but when someone dies the world has to come to a grinding hault.
Or maybe it's about having the wrong response, like crying at a thought and talking about the dead. |

BlackBlanca is pretty right on for this song. The only thing I'd add to it is that the song is about accepting the fact you have noone to blame for yourself when you make a bad decision. The first part says that: by saying he's come a long way but is far from where he's going. It's like he's taken that first step, but has yet to recognize and make good decisions to the caliber he wishes. |

Am I the only one who hears "Drown the faithful and purpose a toast" instead of gather? Cause, to me, it'd make more sense to the meaning of the song. Destroying the faithful ones to the downfall of society and then purpose a toast to the fact it's over. |

I took the song to mean as life goes on we loose the innocence we once had as children.
And to the part where the mother wonders if its the end of her precious time. It's not only about our own innocence but those around us. The kid went insane and killed someone and is therefor without innocence anymore.
And the chorus says it right there. As we speak in relation to time. (the saying I'm sure you've heard) And without innocence we have a "stone" heart. |

| Raunchy – The Devil Lyrics

Ok, I've kind of got this figured out... kinda.
So obviously a guy 'beats' the devil. The devil then came back and caused a car crash that kill his girlfriend/wife. And thus the devil had it's revenge. The only thing I can't figure out is what the devil is. It may be literal, but I doubt it. I think the devil is either drugs or alcohol (isn't it always). The line "and she only stayed for one night" is like he slipped and ended up doing it again. And of course, being intoxicated/high he crashed resulting in the death of the "pretty girl" who was thrown out of his bed. |
