no this song isnt about date rape, it can be, but not solely.(SP) to me it reminds me of a freshman in high school, just coming in and trying to make it big. she wants to become popular and wants people to like her. thats where all the: "Stuck in the moment Dead at the scene And it's on tonight This is the life that you wanted, right? So turn off all the lights Dressed up just like a movie star At all the parties, they'll know who you are" comes in, where shes dressing all 'that' you know like you used to think when you were a freshman. (thank god we learned with time) so anyways she's about to do it with a guy from the party and obviously she's having second thoughts, and the singer is trying to get across that she should wait, for when it would be special with someone special. "Do you want to lose it all? 'Cause this is more than just a dance hall drug You can't wait to fall in love All I'm saying is do you, do you want to learn to fly? Then you should pack it up and say goodbye 'Cause when the push comes to the shove, it's just a dance hall drug" so he's saying just wait and in time it will all work out, you will fall in love with someone who will fall in love with you, and it will be more special. one of the best songs on the whole album. hands down, fantastic. and oh my lord, crossum64, its not like this whole song is only referring to WWII, D-Day or Pear Harbor. Its a reflect ant on every war, every battle ever fought. even life's little personal battles. AVA blew it up to picture size for all to see, so now, just pay attention to the little details. peaceeee. |

basically, you all need to stop thinking with your minds. Go, buy the CD, or download it off iTunes (buying it would be better) and listen to the whole thing. then write your emotions. you will have changed your mind. Angels and Airwaves is purely amazing. |
