i just watched the video for this song, and i gotta say, while i love the song, it wasn' t my favorite, but after the video, it's definitely number 2.....i'd give it number 1, but i just fucking love The Big Sleep to much |

i sort of agree with it being about a rock star, and tweedy is the kind of guy who would make fun of himself in song, but i think that this has a deeper meaning. i really think it's about a guy coming home and expecting to be able to fit into his same old lifestyle, but things are so different that to everyone he sees and gets reacquainted with, he's just misunderstood. i guess it sort of makes me think of Garden State...because that's got a similar story to it |

this song is just freaking amazing, much like the band. it's gotta be about a guy who's luck ran out and since he's been sentenced to death, it's like his final thoughts for his family and stuff....truly haunting stuff, but truly amazing stuff |
