I think this song is beautiful. 'I have looked out my window, And, you know, she's no longer there, There's an angel standing in the place, well she won't care. Coulden't be that easy, for her to say goodbye.' ---> I think what he means here is that, I was seein this girl before hand, and he must of adored her coz he says 'angel' but its like she just walked out on him without sayin goodbye. 'Please come in, don't pretend, Like the girl I had before. Please come in, don't pretend, I don't wanna hurt anymore.' ---> And now he's meet a new girl and its like, I wanna be with you, but I don't want to get hurt again. I know its a pretty simple explanation, but I think its just basically he's learnin to trust in love again after havin his heart so badly broken. Also when he sings this song theres a hint of saddness. Lol I can't explain it, but I'm going through the same thing at the moment and its exhausting lol. x |

I love this song so much, and it means a hell of alot to me. I love the line - 'Scar tissue that I wish you saw' - Coz I've been there, its like you really want that person to realise just how much they've hurt you, and how their treatment of you has scarred you. It's also like a guilt thing, 'I want you to see what I've done to myself, just to show you how much of a bad person you are' Also the line 'I'll make it to the moon if I have to crawl' is beautiful. Its almost as if he's say, 'I'll get through this no matter what'. It makes the song sounds like he's lookin back on his life and all the crap that he's gone through, bein lonely, hurt and used and just sayin, I'm gonna come out of this experience smellin of roses, I won't let it have a hold me down anymore. Well thats my view on this song, and like I said I love it to pieces because I can relate to it. Best song ever!! lol :) x |

csstone I agree (never saw the interview but I have seen the video) I mean this mother is doing the best she can for her son, and he probably feels guilty for the worry he has caused her, and yeah she 'should' hate him for it. I think this song is like a sorry letter to his mother. I love the lines: And in a sick way I want to thank you for holding my head up late at night While I was busy waging wars on myself, you were trying to stop the fight You never doubted my warped opinions on things like suicidal hate because this obviously shows that she loves her son and wants to be there for him, put he's pushing her away. I think its a beautiful song, and love it more every time I hear it ^-^ |
