I watched one of the live video on youtube. in the beginning, Jason said '' this is an anti love song, its a love song equires lots of love to sing it '' the lyrics is beautiful, he loves this girl and he still have feeling for her. but he doesn't wanna get hurt anymore ''i couldn't play again because the game it never end It never even landed on the can And never let me in to spend my quarter there's no love for me no more'' say that it isn't so how she easily come, how she easy go please don't tell her that i've been meaning to miss her because i don't not for her it's not that i'm mad to forgive forget what i said '' He keep singing that he doesn't miss her at all, but it 's not true, if he really doesn't miss her, he wouldn't even bother to sing this song /write this song she was the girl with the broadest shoulders But she would die before i crawled over them she is taller than i am she knew i wouldn't mind the view there or the altitude with a mouth full of air she let me down and doubt came out until the now became later She is a strong girl, thats why he uses word like '' boardest shoulder '' , maybe too strong for love . and she knows he '' wouldn't mind the view there '' means , She knows how he feels about her . but she just keep on leading him on and not doing a thing . thats why he said '' she let me down and doubt came out .. it talks about ever lasting love, the most touching part of the lyrics is, love of mine, someday you will die but I will be close behind, follow you into the dark '' it talks about he will follow her anywhere she goes, this remind me of what my ex once said to me, he told me he rather die first instead of seeing me die first... but him, Ben, the writer of this song, he is not scared of seeing his loved one goes away, as the matter of fact, he will follow her.. not physically I guess, it 's more like mentally, his heart is everywhere she is, his heart belongs to her.... wonderful song. I am not a big fan of death cab for cutie. but this song is amazingly sweet. |
