this song is the best of all their songs.wow! well, i think all the interpretations that are given here are right in a way. hm, i think this song is about gerard wanting to kill himself and his girlfriend... but why? there are some other persons that are somehow enemies:'don't let them see your back'. but what's the riddle of revenge? maybe these persons want to harm them in some way... so as a revenge he commits suicide so that these people can't reach their aims and he and the girl he loves are free in a way. immortality might mean that the two of them are together forever, but they can only be together in death. that would explain: 'oh how wrong were we to think immortality meant never dying.' this song means so much to me so i would be glad if anyone helped me to understand it! |

honestly, all this stuff about the band being 'pop' or 'emo' or 'hardcore' or what the hell is stupid. who invented that shit??? the songs must kick ass and this one definitely does NOT X( it already gets boring if you listen to it for the second time... B12, your add about how to be MCR is just so great *LOL* but anyway, i'm kind of disappointed by the band. their debut was amazing but now they give us more 'helena' instead of more 'headfist for halos'. three cheers is kitschy but that fits some songs... they will probably overdo it with the 'black parade': '31) Don't forget the cheezy uniforms! you gotta look extra cheeze for the camera.' i fully agree... these costumes are ridiculous '25) make sure you visit songmeanings everyday, so you don't get caught off guard when they ask you about your lyrics' again lol... would be good if they did (!) *no comment* omg, mcr get to your roots again! |
