What do you all think the spider and the leaf in these songs represent? And what do the mice in this one represent, and what is symbolized in the "less diplomatic means" of removing them? |

This song to me seems to be talking of struggles with faith and material things. He doesn't feel real- he doesn't feel like he goes in with the sheep (the saved)- in fact, he feels like he is a wolf in sheep's clothing, so to speak. This may be due to his inability to convert someone important in his life (the first portion of the song especially seems to tell this to me). So he feels like he lacks the faith required. But in the end he knows that eventually all will be well, and on that day he won't have any clever things to say. What do you guys think? |

I can honestly say that the first part of this song means nothing to me. Actually, the majority of it means nothing to me. I just can't seem to understand it... what is the deal with the locust reference, what does the "shadowy tower on a fish's back" symbolize, what do the snakes and the lizard represent... Any help would be appreciated. Godspeed. |
