I completely agree with most of you. The song has happy-pop melody, though the lyrics are sad ... It's something that a woman/girl would like to hear more frequently *sigh* : a boy who realizes what he lost and how bad he behaved after the break-up, when it's too late. You're still sad beacause of this violent break-up and then He comes back, behaves like the one in the song and you feel like you win, even if all this time you have been hurted, you see that he feels sad about it, you're not the only one who have been crying. This song is so great, describes so simply and right those kind of relathionships which end in an ironical way ... Robert Smith rocks, definitively. I always listen to this songs with nostalgy, pleasure, enthusiasm. The Oleander version is not bad too. The Cure are one of those kings of the 80's. |
