It means alot to me. Seeing as I've been through an abusive relationship. It makes complete sense to me. The guy beats the girl, wether it's because it makes said guy feel stronger, or just.. they feel they need to do it, I'm not sure. And the girl. We stick around, because some of feel like they're all we have. Which is wrong. And in the end, "Face down in the dirt she says, this doesn't hurt she says I finally had enough.." It's like.. the girl is learning she doesn't have to deal with that shit. So she leaves, she says goodbye to him. And that makes her so much stronger as a person. Great song. I love it. I love this band! |

They're remembering before they had their big break. Even then, I think they knew they had a chance at being this big band. "Shake it, break it get off your feet, get close to me and don't you fake it." I think it's about letting go of all responsiblities for a moment, and having a good time in this lifetime. And don't fake anything at all. No matter what, be true to yourself. I think this song is basically RJA telling themselves it'll be okay, if you believe in yourself. If you have fun, be true to yourself and everyone in the world. You're you, and that's just awesome. =) |
