I think this is the perfect song about death/dying. It just captures it for me so well. Addresses how after death,almost our only existence is through memory,pictures and video. We cease to be a person and we become entity: An idea and a memory. Proof of existence only in memory of those who knew them and through pictures and videos. "When I'm at the pearly gates|This'll be on my videotape". what it addresses is that when he is gone,he will be able to live on through those video tapes of perfect days (This is one for the good days and I have it all here in Red, blue, green(video pixels)... I won't be afraid Because I know Today has been the most perfect day I have ever seen *seen as in on video* ) and in essence through memory and video, he knows he'll live on in some way. Even though he is no longer alive. |

obivously Motels...I don't agree that it's about a hooker really. although the lyric "she really needs his money" is a big give away. the way the "virgin" was presented in the song just didn't strike me as a Hooker. I feel the line " what a wonderful caricture of intamacy" refers to the motel...not exactly the "virgin". roaches refer to the poor condition of the motel. thats how I interept the song.
the song does have a beautiful part indeed...in the middle after one of the raindrop versuses. it has all the violins playing the song. wow...its just beautiful. best part of the song. but the song as a whole is amazing indeed. it impresses me. |

Well after hearing 500 times...I do believe it is about drug use. but when I hear it, that is not the only thing really. it's music. it has many intereptations and the song is quite a giddy one...so it can be taken any way it can. |

Shhh is about aliens. although is interpted differently. the plague is of locusts. glittering cloud is something to say they coming and their flight making the horzion glitter. but of course it has deeper meanings. of which your supposed to look beyong the locust aspect. and see it has a metaphorically aspect |

It is a sadly morbid song but not emo. emo would be very like " i hope i die today" this is more of a love song but morbid. i think it is supposdly conveying that if the man singing (ben techniclly) would commit sucide if "she" were to die. not out of depression but to be with her. |

I love this song. this song for some odd reason reminds me of the silent hill franchise. the song i think is about depression and that Dr. blind means that her doctor has not clue and no medication can stop this form of depression at all |

but i'm thinking of what sarah said,
sarah could be his daughter. she might have disease such as cancer and is rushed to the hospital. the father is waiting.and they come out to tell him that sarah is dead or dieing

another one is simple. sarah is his wife and she is giving birth. he is waiting to learn that the baby died or that both have died or the mom has died..but the baby lived |

to me this song is about a man..who through his whole life has lived a very sheltered and very unexperianced life till he meets a girl who he wants so bad but due to the fact that he never wants to bond or anything just wants to alone. he gives up hope but the girl never does give up on getting his attention. she trys and try..so the songs goes..but just what i think |
